Overview

I led the UX redesign of TEMPUR's product detail page (PDP) to improve clarity, hierarchy, and conversion. Backed by analytics and usability testing, we launched two tested PDP concepts with real-time behavioral tracking via Hotjar and A/B tools.

Research & Strategy

  • Heatmaps revealed poor scrolling engagement on legacy PDPs
  • Session recordings showed confusion during mattress selection
  • Analytics confirmed drop-offs before add-to-cart
  • Built a research-informed plan to reorder layout and enhance clarity

Concept 1

  • Buy box redesign with visible variant thumbnails
  • Reordered configuration steps for pricing clarity
  • Sticky add-to-cart & delivery info
  • Summary section restructured for ease of scan

Concept 2

  • Accordion-based buy box layout
  • Interactive mattress cutaway module
  • Simplified content hierarchy & bulleted feature list

Testing & Results

We tested both versions using A/B tools and analytics over a 6-week period. Metrics included bounce rate, scroll depth, CTA engagement, and checkout initiations.

  • +28% improvement in add-to-cart interaction
  • +15% higher checkout initiation
  • Lower bounce rate on mobile
